I hope that you are well and having a good day! If so, praising the Lord might be easy to do. If you are not having a good day, thinking of the Lord and His ways, may just be the thing that you need to turn things around. To praise or not to praise??? I encourage you to read Psalm 146, and take a moment to praise God today.
The Psalm instructs us away from trusting in princes, and human beings who cannot save as God does. The directing of the Psalm is to think about God, humbling yourself to recognize what He has done, and what He does. Praising is an intentional act of worship.
God is the Maker of heaven and earth; God we praise you for Your awesome creation, it’s beauty, power, creativity, and harmony testify to Your awesome mind and capability! You are faithful, day after day, season after season!
God is the One who upholds the cause of the oppressed and gives food to the hungry. You are compassionate, loving, and You care for those who are in need! Lord we praise You!
God, You are the One who sets prisoners free, You give sight to the blind, both physically and spiritually! Who can free us but You! You are mighty, mindful of our need, and fully sufficient! Hallelujah! You lift up those who bow down, You love the righteous, You watch over the alien and You sustain the fatherless and the widow. All praise to You! God, you reign forever, for all generations! You are the eternal One, from beginning to end.
Begin a healthy daily habit today; train yourself to think about the Lord and offer praise. “I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.” Ps. 146:2
Praising the Lord!
