We thank you, the Coventry Church, for the way that you have supported our ministry through Crossworld. We are grateful for what God has done through you!
Because of you, we served on La Tortue Island, Haiti for 14 years. God gave us 10 churches, 6 seminary trained pastors, and 27 extension Bible school graduates who serve as second-line leaders. The 10 churches together grew from 700 to 2200 during our time there.
Because of you, we then served at the First Bible Christian Church in Santiago, the Dominican Republic. The church started a Bible school; three years later, 35 people graduated from the program. God enabled us to help train three men as pastors, 15 small group leaders and others as second line leaders. When we arrived in 2004, FBCC had two men capable of preaching; when we left 13 years later, eight men could step up to the pulpit and preach. Judy mentored three women right before we left the DR; a year later, the three became 60.
Because of you, we then served at Heart of the City and the REDES Spanish church in Lewisville TX. HOTC started a food pantry and later asked me to be their volunteer coordinator. God enabled us to recruit over 200 volunteers a week. The food pantry enabled the church to grow from 90 to 220 the last four years.
Because of you, we now serve at the Ladysmith Hispanic church in central Virginia. The church had been averaging 22 a Sunday; we are up to 35 as I am preaching through the book of Philippians. I also teach a Biblical finance class on Wednesdays via Zoom; our attendance has jumped from 2 to 14.
God thrilled us this past Saturday as a young man whom I mentored in the Dominican Republic taught a “How to Study the Bible” seminar at FBCC.
